Muslim-American “Interfaith” Group Calls for Blasphemy Laws

Posted by Ryan Mauro On October - 8 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

The United Muslim Christian Forum, a friendly-sounding “interfaith” group issued a press release on September 18 demanding the prosecution of the makers of the low-quality Innocence of Muslims film that appeared on YouTube. The Islamist agenda of the group is in written form but if the past is any indication, that won’t stop elected officials and Christian leaders from embracing it in order to prove their tolerance.

The United Muslim Christian Forum (UMCF) is an entity of the Muslims of the Americas, whose members follow a cleric in Pakistan named Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani that refers to Osama Bin Laden as a “Saudi activist.” The group says it has 22 “villages” across the country, such as “Islamberg” in Hanock, N.Y. and “Islamville” in York County, S.C.

Gilani also leads Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a group that the State Department said in 1998 is an “Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.” In 2009, I obtained a video of Muslim women receiving guerilla warfare training, complete in military fatigue, at “Islamberg.” This should raise questions about the purpose of Islamberg’s 24th Annual Ladies Summer Camp in July 2011.

The UMCF press release claims that the film is part of a conspiracy involving “media terrorism” to cause war between Muslims and Christians and its content should not be protected as free speech. It quotes an unidentified citizen as saying it is “barbarous treason.”

“Therefore we demand immediate action by the appropriate government agencies to stop this film and bring its perpetrators to justice for this malicious hate speech,” it says.

Anti-Semitism is at the core of UMCF’s drive to forge a Muslim-Christian coalition. Its website states that the 9/11 attacks were “Stage One of getting the Western World, on behalf of the Jews, to go to war with the Arab world.” Gilani says“Jews are an example of human Satans” and that he’s never encountered an honest Jew.

Federal Judge Enforces Sharia-Compliance in Ohio Prisons

Posted by Matthew Avitabile On April - 28 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

Note: This article originally appeared at Pundit Press by Aurelius. Reposted with permission.

In 2011, death row inmate Abdul Awkal sued an Ohio prison because he was receiving non-halal food while in prison. As a consequence, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction banned all pork products in prison.

This year, prisoner James Rivers filed a lawsuit arguing that pork should not be outright banned. He reasoned that, should Muslims not want to eat pork, they had the right to, but that it was discriminatory to ban pork for everyone. Additionally, the prison did offer meals without pork products in them before the ban.

To reinforce Rivers’s lawsuit, prison authorities argued that the change to all-halal food could potentially “bankrupt the system.” Despite all of this, a federal judge has thrown out Rivers’s case, refusing to even hear it in court.

The judge stated that forcing non-Muslims to adhere to a Muslim diet is not the establishment of a religion because everyone eats the same food. He did not comment on the fact that, before the lawsuit by Awkal, all prisoners ate the same food in the first place.

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction: Now Serving only Halal food

Former Navy Chaplain Dr. Gordon Klingenschmitt, in response to the ruling, stated:

“This is another example of the Islamicization [sic] of America. It’s establishing Islam as the state religion of the prison system,” Klingenschmitt contends. “The judge’s reasoning is this: He said as long as all of the prisoners are forced to eat the same food, then there’s no discrimination taking place. In other words, if he enforces Muslim law equally, then there’s no establishment of religion. I think that’s wrong, and I pray this is overturned on the appeal.”

There is no word as to whether another lawsuit will be launched.

South Carolina’s “Holy Islamville”

Posted by Ryan Mauro On April - 24 - 2012 1 COMMENT

A radical Pakistani cleric named Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani and his followers testify to the holiness of a shrine where miracles allegedly prove his supernatural powers. The shrine isn’t in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or anywhere in the Islamic world. It’s in York County, South Carolina, inside a commune about 36 acres large called “Holy Islamville,” located on a street named Islamville Way.

It was founded in 1982 by a group called Muslims of the Americas (MOA), led by the aforementioned Gilani. The Department of Homeland Security says it is linked to Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani militant group also led by Glani. The State Department describes ul-Fuqra as “an Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.”

Fuqra was behind many assassinations and bombings between 1979 and the early 1990s. Its biggest plot aimed to kill 4,500 Indians in Toronto during the Festival of Lights in 1991. Its destructive capacity first caught the FBI’s attention in 1989 because of a raid on a storage locker in Colorado Springs. They discovered weapons and plans for various attacks, including a scheme to murder Imam Rashad Khalifa in Arizona in 1990. They succeeded, killing him exactly as the seized papers said they would. Two Fuqra members were allegedly involved in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and dramatic plots against New York City.

In October 1992, Fuqra’s 101-acre compound at Buena Vista, Colorado was shut down. The authorities discovered it was a full-blown terrorist training camp. The members financed their efforts through a web of fake companies and various criminal activities. A poem by Gilani was found that reads: “Come join my troops and army/Says our Sheikh Gilani/Prepare to sacrifice your head/A true believer is never dead/Say ‘Victory is in the Air’/The kafir’s blood will not be spared.” That’s the sheikh who the residents of Islamville and the other MOA compounds view as a representative of Allah that meets with Jesus in heaven, heals diseases, transforms into animals, instantly transports and leaves his body at will.

The MOA says it has 22 “villages” around the country, with its Islamberg headquarters in Hancock, New York being the most notorious. In a secret recruitment tape made by Gilani, he states the purpose of these villages: “We are establishing training camps.” He tells viewers that they “are most welcome to join one of the most advanced training courses in Islamic military warfare” by contacting the group’s offices in Pakistan or several locations in the U.S., including South Carolina. That’s Islamville.

Report: Explosion Heard at Islamville in South Carolina

Posted by Ryan Mauro On February - 13 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

On Saturday, February 11 at about 2:50 PM, an explosion was heard at a large, Muslim-only community in York County, South Carolina named “Holy Islamville,” a source tells us. The 36-acre isolated site is run by an Islamist group called Muslims of the Americas, led by a cleric in Pakistan named Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani.

There was no smoke or sign of debris, but worried neighbors called each other to see what had happened. None reported an accident within their homes that would explain the noise and the police were called.

A less-powerful explosion was heard on Thursday, January 26 at approximately 4:30 PM. As was the case in this latest incident, nearby residents reported feeling their homes shake and checked-up on each other to find an explanation. About 20 minutes later, gunfire was heard coming from the area and was heard by a local police officer who responded to the call. Several recordings of gunfire coming from Islamville have been released over the past year. The Muslims of the Americas is known to have trained some of its members in guerilla warfare, as seen on a secret videotape I obtained from a law enforcement source that can be seen here.

U.S. Gov’t Overlooking Hezbollah Threat

Posted by Candice Lanier On December - 7 - 2011 1 COMMENT

According to WIISIsrael, the Obama administration’s counter-terrorism focus is almost exclusively on Al-Qaeda and very little attention is being given to Hezbollah. It is important to note that for years the U.S. has classified Hezbollah, and not Al-Qaeda, as the biggest threat to national security. But, in the National Strategy for Counterterrorism (June 2011) report, only 2 out of 23 pages is dedicated to the fight against Hezbollah. In the report, Hezbollah is described as striving to “undermine the security and stability of allied and partner governments, foment regional conflicts, traffic in narcotics, or otherwise pursue agendas that are inimical to U.S. interests.”

It has been noted that Hezbollah’s agenda is the same as that of al-Qaeda. Both embrace the goal of destroying the United States. Both are also intent on reducing Western resistance to the spread of radical Islam.

It is estimated that Hezbollah is made up of 10,000 armed members, world-wide. Hezbollah’s network includes cells throughout Latin America and Central America. And, not only are they also active right across the open border in Mexico, but they also have cells within the U.S. Under any circumstances, sustaining an attack by Hezbollah could be catastrophic. It should, then, go without saying that with reduced U.S. military strength, the potential exists for far more devastation.

There have been reports of terrorists crossing the U.S./Mexican border, one of which occurred in November of 2010. Ahmed Muhammad was indicted for allegedly aiding and abetting hundreds of people’s entry into the U.S. via Brazil to Mexico and then on to the U.S. Even in view of these events and of 9/11, there are those who continue to call for a reduced military and who vehemently support an open border.

Included in the indictment were Al-Shabaab-tied Somalis who have been cited as bearing responsibility for suicide bombings and terrorist attacks around the globe. If al-Shabaab is doing, we must assume Hezbollah is also.

Sharia Enclaves in the West

Posted by Ryan Mauro On August - 12 - 2011 2 COMMENTS

Islamist organizations are hard at work creating Muslim enclaves in the West, including right here in the United States. These efforts are designed to create Islamic autonomous areas, often with the expressed desire of incrementally bringing the host country completely under Sharia-based governance. This campaign has not stopped or even slowed down since FrontPage Magazine and the Middle East Forum shined the light on it one year ago.

One group leading the effort to establish Islamist communities within the U.S. is As-Sabiqun, led by an extremist cleric named Imam Abdul Alim Musa. His list of heroes reads like a who’s-who of the jihadist world, from Hasan al-Banna toSayyid Qutb to Ayatollah Khomeini. He recently heaped praise upon Iranian President Ahmadinejad. In June 2002, he expressed support for suicide bombings in Israel. He preaches that the 9/11 attacks were a CIA/Mossad operation, says he “like[s]” Osama Bin Laden, supports Hezbollah, and describes Hamas as being “very nice people.” The As-Sabiqun Web site has a plan to create Sharia enclaves in the U.S. in stages, beginning with moving Muslims to one area and setting up independent social services.

Exposing the United Muslim Christian Forum’s Extremism

Posted by admin On July - 27 - 2011 2 COMMENTS

Below is an excerpt of my article about the United Muslim-Christian Forum and my visit to its latest event. Click the link at the bottom and go to the second page to read about my experience there.

On April 16, the United Muslim-Christian Forum (UMCF) held an interfaith event in Owego, New York, featuring Christian and Muslim speakers, including the mayor of the town. Its Web site proudly hosts a photo of Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan holding a UMCF sign. Far from the model of tolerance it casts itself as, the UMCF is a front for an anti-Semitic, Islamic extremist group named Muslims of the Americas (MOA), and the keynote speaker warned that Allah will destroy whoever supports Koran burnings, and possibly the entire country.

The MOA was exposed in the Christian Action Network’s (CAN) 2009 film, “Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Camps Around the U.S.,” which shows that MOA “villages” (of which the group says there are 22) are used for guerilla warfare training. The Department of Homeland Security says that the MOA is linked toJamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani militant group. Both follow Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, a radical cleric in Pakistan. In 1998, the State Department described ul-Fuqra as an “Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.”

Shortly after the film’s release, I obtained an MOA videotape showing female members receiving paramilitary instruction at “Islamberg” in Hancock, NY. The group responded with a ridiculous rebuttal video in December 2009, followed by a four-part series in January 2010. Since then, CAN has acquired multiple recordings of gunfire coming from “Holy Islamville” in York County, SC.

The UMCF has been able to recruit some Christians as supporters, even though this information is readily available. Speakers at the April 16 event included Father Timothy Taugher of Blessed Sacrament Church in Johnson City; Prof. Diane O’Heron of Broome Community College (and UMCF board member); and Mayor Edward Arrington, who is chairman of the Deacon Board of First Baptist Church in Owego.

Gunfire Heard From Islamville as Paper Prints Puff Piece

Posted by Ryan Mauro On May - 12 - 2011 3 COMMENTS

From CAN:

The Christian Action Network has acquired four more recordings of gunfire coming from “Holy Islamville” in York County, S.C. just as the Herald Online published a puff piece heaping praise upon the group for its stance against terrorism and Osama Bin Laden while ignoring its own extremist ties.

On May 4, the Herald Online published an article titled “With Bin Laden Dead, York Co. Muslims Repulsed by His Violence Seek New Beginning.” It quotes several of those living at Holy Islamville as rejoicing over the death of Bin Laden and condemning the Al-Qaeda leader.

“Bin Laden was no Muslim. He was just an evil person. He made it so hard on us,” says the owner of a convenience store. Another said “Bin Laden did not follow the teachings of Islam.”

“These people are electrical engineers and carpenters, store managers and retired educators, students and barbers. They are our neighbors. They are Muslims,” the author, Andrew Dys, wrote.

Dys did not mention that Islamville is part of the extremist organization, Muslims of the Americas or that its members are followers of the radical cleric in Pakistan, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani. The group’s website openly touts 9/11 conspiracy theories, attributing the attacks to a Satanist-Zionist plot to allow for a war on Muslims. Gilani also has referred to Bin Laden as a “Saudi activist.”

The newspaper also did not mention the videos obtained by the Christian Action Network showing guerilla warfare training at Islamberg in New York, the organization’s headquarters. CAN’s documentary, Homegrown Jihad, also includes footage of Sheikh Gilani specifically saying the Muslims of the Americas sites offer such training.

On the same day that the piece was published, CAN obtained four recordings of gunfire coming out of Holy Islamville. View the recordings below:

Recordings of Gunfire From Holy Islamville in SC Released

Posted by Ryan Mauro On March - 26 - 2011 6 COMMENTS

The Christian Action Network (CAN) has released recordings of gunfire from a Muslim-only community called Holy Islamville in York County, South Carolina from March 6. The site is run by an extremist group called Muslims of the Americas, which says it has 22 “villages” like Holy Islamville around the country. CAN has released footage showing some of its members being given guerilla warfare instruction.

The recordings were released as part of an article authored for FrontPage Magazine by Ryan Mauro, CAN’s National Security Advisor, titled “Sweet Talking the Christians.” It discusses how an event was held at Islamville on February 19 that was attended by a representative of the local sheriff’s office and churches were invited. About two weeks later on March 6, CAN obtained recordings of gunfire coming from the compound, despite the insistence of the Muslims of the Americas that the site is not used for any type of guerilla warfare training.

The Front Page article, with the recordings, can be read byCLICKING HERE.

Mauro’s piece also details how government officials and politicians have embraced the group despite its history of extremism, such as Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan.

“The success of the MOA’s outreach efforts is entirely because of negligence by those they embrace, including local officials. This information can quickly be discovered with little research. For the non-Muslim friends of the MOA, it is more important to look tolerant and open-minded than to confront unmistakable Islamic extremism,” Mauro wrote.

In 2009, CAN released a documentary named “Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Camps Around the U.S.” about the Muslims of the Americas sites around the country. It included a secret videotape made by the group showing its Pakistan-based leader, Sheikh Gilani, telling viewers about the Islamic guerilla warfare training offered at these sites. The tape then shows some of the tactics being learned, including the firing of AK-47s, hijacking vehicles and setting off explosives. In the film, CAN’s staff visits several of the MOA sites around the country.

Shortly after the release of “Homegrown Jihad,” CAN was given a second MOA tape that showed female members at Islamberg in Hancock, N.Y., receiving guerilla warfare training while in military attire. They are seen marching in formation, practicing combat with knives and swords and firing guns into a lake.

Martin Mawyer, the President of CAN, says that the group is finishing up a video to supplement “Homegrown Jihad” using the information they have received since the film’s release. New information about the group and Islamville specifically will be included, he says.

MUST-READ: Recordings of Gunfire From “Holy Islamville” in York County, S.C.

An Islamic extremist group that has given guerilla warfare training to some of its members is sweet-talking churches and law enforcement by holding events meant to honor Jesus and offer friendship. The group, Muslims of the Americas(MOA), held an event in February at its 36-acre Holy Islamville community in York County, South Carolina that received fawning press coverage that didn’t even mention its radical leader in Pakistan, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani.

The event on February 19 at Holy Islamville was expected to be attended by hundreds of Muslims of the Americas members from around the country with the purpose of celebrating Mohammed’s birthday. Churches, local officials, the FBI and law enforcement were all invited to come see how peace-loving the group is. The Herald Online made no mention of Sheikh Gilani or the controversy surrounding the group but did say events had been held with churches for years. The local sheriff’s department even sent a representative to attend and show support……

Daniel Pearl Murder Investigation Flawed

Posted by Ryan Mauro On January - 27 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS

From CAN:

The Center for Public Integrity’s Pearl Project has concluded that the investigation into the beheading of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was flawed. The Jewish reporter had traveled to Pakistan believing he would interview Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, a Pakistani cleric that oversees a network of compounds of his followers in the United States.

“Of the 27 men involved in Pearl’s kidnapping and murder, 4 were convicted, 5 are dead, 4 are detained or missing, and 14 are free,” the report states.

The Telegraph reported that a new FBI analysis concluded that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the former third-in-command of Al-Qaeda who is now in custody, is the man who beheaded Pearl. He had previously told his interrogators that he was the murderer.

Muslims of the Americas’ New Target: Gullible Christians

Posted by Ryan Mauro On January - 24 - 2011 1 COMMENT

On Saturday, January 8, 2011, a nice-sounding organization called the United Muslim Christian Forum (UMC) held an event in Binghamton, New York, for members of both faiths to “share, in unity, their love and admiration for Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him).” Gullible Christians and officials have supported the event, unaware or unconcerned that it is a front for the anti-Semitic extremist group Muslims of the Americas (MOA) and its leader in Pakistan, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani.

There is no excuse for those who have embraced the UMC, as its website says it was founded by Sheikh Gilani and no effort is made to disguise UMC’s status as an MOA front. The UMC website also spouts the same ideology. At a 2008 event, the leadership proclaimed that “…we will no longer be duped or manipulated by a ‘hidden hand’ into fighting, or going to war with each other.” The write-up on the event, which claims 3000 Muslims and Christians attended, then argues that the 9/11 attacks were an “inside job” by the U.S., UK, Israel and international bankers. It describes the attacks as “Stage One of getting the Western world, on behalf of the Jews, to go to war with the Arab world.”

Man Arrested in Baltimore Bomb Plot

Posted by Matthew Avitabile On December - 8 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

A man was arrested for allegedly attempting to detonate a bomb at a military recruitment center. This plot is very similar to the recent Portland Christmas Tree attempt.

Antonio Martinez, a Muslim convert who called himself Muhammed Hussain, was arrested and will appear in federal court on Wednesday, Fox News confirms.

An official told Fox News that the arrest was part of a sting operation and that there is no threat to the American public. The official said the suspect was given a phony bomb and was arrested after trying to detonate it.

Unfortunately these are getting more common– and we’re getting lucky.

Muslims of the Americas Praises Ahmadinejad’s UN Speech

Posted by Ryan Mauro On October - 21 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

When Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke before the United Nations General Assembly on September 23, he caused outrage by suggesting that elements of the U.S. government had carried out the attacks of September 11, 2001. His remarks were widely denounced, but one organization in the U.S. called Muslims of the Americas complimented his speech, raising frightening questions about what is being preached to its members, many of whom live on huge, isolated compounds around the country.

“Many true Muslims, true Christians and true Jews would concur with the President of Iran,” the Muslims of the Americas’ newspaper, the Islamic Post, said. The article also called for an independent investigation into the 9/11 attacks and a plan to bring justice to those who carried it out.

The organization also denounced the War on Terror and capitalism as “extensions of colonialism and materialism” that has caused the “mass murders of innocent civilians, usurpation of territories, genocide, increased immortality and ungodliness, and a total disregard for humanity[.]”

Ahmadinejad was positively compared to the Mahdi, the messianic figure in Islamic eschatology who comes to bring world peace and justice. The article said that Ahmadinejad’s call to reform the United Nations to better manage world affairs is like the Mahdi’s “mission…[to create] a global management for peace, security and the realization of human rights.”

Jihadists Setting Up Shop in Pennsylvania

Posted by Ryan Mauro On September - 24 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

The state of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia in particular), the home of the Liberty Bell, is attracting Islamists peddling a softer, slicker form of jihad. These Islamists are careful not to raise alarm lest they jeopardize their long-term goals. It’s not clear what is attracting the groups, but staying true to the Keystone State nickname, Pennsylvania is becoming a common congregating point for Islamists.

An article I recently wrote, “Muslim Enclaves U.S.A.,” went viral and brought enormous reaction. One of the stories contained in the piece was about a music producer, Kenny Gamble, who converted to Islam and is now going by the name of Luqman Abdul Haqq. He has been accused of trying to create a “black Muslim enclave” in Philadelphia. Joe Kaufman, chairman of Americans Against Hate, investigated Gamble further and discovered that he owned the United Muslim Movement’s (UMM) first mosque in Philadelphia in 1994.
