Interfaith Event in California Blames Terrorism on U.S. “Aiding and Abetting” Oppression

Posted by Ryan Mauro On May - 20 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) returned to All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, California on May 5 to address the topic of radicalization in the wake of the Boston bombings. The church leader said there is a “crisis” of “Islamophobia” in America. MPAC denounced violence but said terrorism is a response to the U.S. “aiding and abetting oppression” at the behest of the military-industrial complex.

At the May 5 event, church leader Rev. Ed Bacon said that he “literally had my life changed and my thinking changed because of these two leaders,” referring to MPAC leaders Maher Hathout and Salam al-Marayati. He went so far as to say that the Islamic Center of Southern California, where Hathout is a spokesman and Muslim Brotherhood texts are used, is “my mosque.”

Vice President Meets with Brotherhood-Linked Group to Rally Support for Gun Control

Posted by Ryan Mauro On May - 17 - 2013 3 COMMENTS

The Obama Administration’s relationship with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity, has grown beyond strictly Muslim-related issues. On May 6, Vice President Biden met with about 20 interfaith leaders including ISNA President Mohamed Magid for two hours to rally religious support for gun control.

A FBI source identified ISNA as a Muslim Brotherhood front as early as 1987. A1991 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood memo identified ISNA as one of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends” for use in its “work in America as a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.”

Muslim Brotherhood Front Succeeds in Plan to Influence U.S. Universities

Posted by Ryan Mauro On May - 16 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

In 1988, an FBI informant inside the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood network warned that it had a front called the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). The IIIT leadership, the source reported, said they were in the first of six phases to “institute the Islamic Revolution in the United States.” Their current objective was to “peacefully get inside the United States government and also American universities.” And they have.

The source warned that the Muslim Brotherhood in America has “unlimited funds” and has “set up political action front groups with no traceable ties to the IIIT or its various Muslim groups.”

CAIR Uses Islamist Radicals for Fundraising

Posted by Ryan Mauro On May - 13 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is using Islamist radicals to raise money throughout the country, according to a Clarion Project review of their fundraising banquets. CAIR calls itself “America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group,” but has been labeled a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity by the federal government and attacks the integrity of its moderate Muslim rivals.

The Cincinatti and Columbus, OH chapters of CAIR turned to Imam Siraj Wahhaj, a cleric with indisputable credentials as a radical Islamist, for their fundraisers. He has been recorded saying “America is the most wicked government on the face of the planet Earth” and “If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.”

CAIR Attacks Moderate Muslim Group as Being Part of “Islamophobia” Network

Posted by Ryan Mauro On May - 9 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is yet again undermining its own “moderate” credentials by slamming its Muslim rivals (and true moderates) for being part of an “Islamophobia” network and exposing its own Islamist agenda in the meantime.

In its latest newsletter, CAIR promotes — as the top item – an article on how its rival, the American Islamic Congress (AIC) is funded by “America’s Islamophobia network.”

CAIR quotes from the article, “Despite its claim to promote tolerance, the AIC has depended on substantial support from the very same elements that fought tooth and nail to sabotage the Islamic Society of Boston …”

As reported by the Clarion Project, the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center has strong Muslim Brotherhood ties and its extremism is well documented.

U.S. Air Force Paid Nearly $5,000 to Muslim Brotherhood-Linked Group for Ad Space

Posted by Ryan Mauro On May - 3 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

The U.S. Air Force has confirmed to The Clarion Project that it paid nearly $5,000 for advertisements in the magazine of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism-financing trial that was also labeled a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity by the government. The Air Force said it would continue to consider paying ISNA for ads.

An advertisement for the U.S. Air Force Chaplain Corps is in the March-April issue of Islamic Horizons, ISNA’s magazine. ClarionProject.org asked the Air Force about the advertisement and included facts about ISNA. Air Force spokesperson Captain Lindsey Hahn responded:

Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev Arrested in Connection to Boston Marathon Bombings

Posted by Matthew Avitabile On May - 1 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

Update: Azamat and Dias‘ Facebook info.

From Fox News:

Prior to the latest development, authorities had named only brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as suspects in the April 15 bombing at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Two of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s UMass-Dartmouth roommates, Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, are from Kazakhstan and faced an immigration hearing this morning, sources said. Sources told Fox News they face obstruction charges in connection with the bombing. The identity of the third suspect is unclear.

Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov are suspected of taking computers and other equipment from Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s apartment and trying to dispose of it after the bombings, sources told Fox News.

Three people were killed and more than 200 injured when the pair allegedly set two bombs, at least one of which was made from a pressure cooker packed with explosives and shrapnel, amid the crowd.

New York Times Whitewashes Zaytuna College in California

Posted by Ryan Mauro On April - 30 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

Zaytuna College was founded by three Islamists with a history of anti-American rhetoric, but you wouldn’t know that if you read the New York Times puff piece about the California school. Readers are left to believe this is a moderate Muslim institution that will “foster an American Islam” to lead the Muslim world into the 21st century.

Zaytuna College is based in Berkeley and is an unaccredited school that operates on a $4-5 million budget. According to the Times, it has only 30 students and less than 10 professors. The author states that he hears it likened to “a Muslim version of the great Catholic colleges, like Georgetown or Notre Dame.”

Boston Mosque Justified Wife-Beating & Hitting Kids, Imam Said to Pick Up Weapons

Posted by Ryan Mauro On April - 30 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

As previously reported by the Clarion Project, the Tsarnaev brothers who committed the Boston bombings attended the Islamic Society of Boston (ISB), a mosque with extensive Muslim Brotherhood ties.

Evidence of the radical Islamic ideology being spread in the Boston area can be seen in the following video from March 2010. The video shows Imam Abdullah Faarooq, an imam at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, calling on Muslim congregants to support Aafia Siddiqui, a known Al-Qaeda operative, and telling worshippers, “You must grab on to this rope, grab on to the typewriter, grab on to the shovel, grab on to the gun and the sword, don’t be afraid to step out into this world and do your job.”

CAIR Director Plays Islamophobia Card on O’Reilly

Posted by Ryan Mauro On April - 25 - 2013 1 COMMENT

On April 23, the Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Nihad Awad was the guest on FOX News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor. The host, who has repeatedly given CAIR a platform, confronted Awad over his denial that radical Islam is the main driver of worldwide terrorism. When cornered, Awad claimed O’Reilly was attacking his faith and “playing politics.”

Awad opened up the segment with a long speech about how CAIR condemned the Boston bombings, and how he personally participates in marathons. He then argued that O’Reilly’s statement that radical Islam is driving terrorism is an attack on the faith as a whole.

The tactic’s purpose is to avoid acknowledging the ideological roots of Islamic terrorism so that it can instead be attributed to anger over U.S. foreign policy.

CAIR Banquet Honors Interfaith Allies

Posted by Ryan Mauro On April - 25 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is making a point on showing how much it treasures its interfaith defenders. Recent CAIR fundraisers and events have highlighted their partnership, flattering them enough to overlooking its well-documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism-financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation. The federal government specifically identified CAIR as an entity of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, a secret body set up to advance the Hamas agenda. In 2009, a federal judge ruled in favor of preserving the label, citing the “ample” evidence linking CAIR to Hamas.

Pittsburgh Group Calls for “Litigation Jihad,” Blasts “Pacifist Imams”

Posted by Ryan Mauro On April - 24 - 2013 ADD COMMENTS

The website of the Sankore Institute of Islamic-African Studies International (SIIASI), based in Pittsburgh, P.A., calls on Muslims to engage in “litigation jihad” as a means of moving the U.S. towardsSharia law. The anti-American group had its offices raided by the FBI in 2006.

“The United States has long held Muslim political prisoners within its federal, state and now privatized penal colonies. It is by waging a litigation jihad [sic] in the US penal system that some redress can be made in the international community as well. It is for this reason that Muslim inmate legal actions in the US courts constitute the front line of defense of Islam,” SIIASI says.

The objective of the “litigation jihad” is bigger than freeing Muslims from jail.

Tsarnaevs Motivated by Opposition to Iraq and Afghan Wars, Learned to Build Bombs from al Qaeda Website

Posted by Matthew Avitabile On April - 23 - 2013 1 COMMENT

From the Washington Post:

The 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has told interrogators that the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan motivated him and his brother to carry out the attack, according to U.S. officials familiar with the interviews.

From his hospital bed, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has acknowledged his role in planting the explosives near the marathon finish line on April 15, the officials said. The first successful large-scale bombing in the post-Sept. 11, 2001, era, the Boston attack killed three people and wounded more than 250 others.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe an ongoing investigation, said Dzhokhar and his older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed by police as the two attempted to avoid capture, do not appear to have been directed by a foreign terrorist organization.

Rather, the officials said, the evidence so far suggests they were “self-radicalized” through Internet sites and U.S. actions in the Muslim world. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has specifically cited the U.S. war in Iraq, which ended in December 2011 with the removal of the last American forces, and the war in Afghanistan, where President Obama plans to end combat operations by the end of 2014.
