The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is making a point on showing how much it treasures its interfaith defenders. Recent CAIR fundraisers and events have highlighted their partnership, flattering them enough to overlooking its well-documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism-financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation. The federal government specifically identified CAIR as an entity of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, a secret body set up to advance the Hamas agenda. In 2009, a federal judge ruled in favor of preserving the label, citing the “ample” evidence linking CAIR to Hamas.

The website of the Sankore Institute of Islamic-African Studies International (SIIASI), based in Pittsburgh, P.A., calls on Muslims to engage in “litigation jihad” as a means of moving the U.S. towardsSharia law. The anti-American group had its offices raided by the FBI in 2006.

“The United States has long held Muslim political prisoners within its federal, state and now privatized penal colonies. It is by waging a litigation jihad [sic] in the US penal system that some redress can be made in the international community as well. It is for this reason that Muslim inmate legal actions in the US courts constitute the front line of defense of Islam,” SIIASI says.

The objective of the “litigation jihad” is bigger than freeing Muslims from jail.

The 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has told interrogators that the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan motivated him and his brother to carry out the attack, according to U.S. officials familiar with the interviews.

From his hospital bed, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has acknowledged his role in planting the explosives near the marathon finish line on April 15, the officials said. The first successful large-scale bombing in the post-Sept. 11, 2001, era, the Boston attack killed three people and wounded more than 250 others.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe an ongoing investigation, said Dzhokhar and his older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed by police as the two attempted to avoid capture, do not appear to have been directed by a foreign terrorist organization.

Rather, the officials said, the evidence so far suggests they were “self-radicalized” through Internet sites and U.S. actions in the Muslim world. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has specifically cited the U.S. war in Iraq, which ended in December 2011 with the removal of the last American forces, and the war in Afghanistan, where President Obama plans to end combat operations by the end of 2014.

The Syrian Electronic Army, an pro-Assad web based group that will “spread the truth about all those who wish ill of our country,” claimed responsibility for hacking the Associated Press twitter feed earlier today.

The tweets caused bit of panic on Wall Street when they falsely reported that there had been two explosions at the White House, injuring President Obama in the process, but were abated when White House Press Secretary Jay Carney assured reporters that it was a hoax.

There is no independent confirmation of the groups supposed responsibility, and the FBI is investigating who is responsible for the social media breach along with the Secret Service. The twitter feed has been suspended by the Associated Press to prevent further false information from being spread on their account.

Two individuals linked to the Al-Qaeda network in Iran have been arrested in Canada, foiling a plot to derail a train from New York to Toronto. Though Canadian officials and media reports emphasize that there’s no evidence tying the Iranian regime to the plot, the Obama Administration confirmed in 2011 that Iran and Al-Qaeda had a “secret deal.”

“The individuals were receiving support from Al-Qaeda elements located in Iran,” said Royal Canadian Mounted Police official James Malizia.

An anonymous U.S. official influenced press coverage by telling Reuters that the Iranian regime does not protect the Al-Qaeda network in its territory. The official apparently believes the Iranian regime is capable of preventing another Green Revolution but is somehow unable to round up an Al-Qaeda network that the U.S. government has publicly identified.

Islamists long for the days of when Spain was under an Islamic state called Andalusia. The Muslim Brotherhood’s founder preached that Spain must return to the House of Islam. The Islamic Society of North America, a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity, printed a recent article referring to Andalusia as a “paradise” that will return when “the only victor is Allah.”

“Thus Andalusia, Sicily, the Balkans, the Italian coast, as well as the islands of the Mediterranean, are all of them Muslim Mediterranean colonies and they must return to the Islamic fold … [The Roman Empire] was founded on cupidity and lust. It is thus our duty to rebuild the Islamic Empire …,” said Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna.

The U.S. Muslim Brotherhood listed the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) first among “our organizations and the organizations of our friends” in a 1991 document. The U.S. government likewise labeled it a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity when it designated ISNA an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial of the Holy Land Foundation. Yet, a top White House official recently said ISNA is “his primary means of outreach to the American Muslim community.”

Americans for Peace and Tolerance is celebrating that Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick rescinded an invitation to the imam of a Muslim Brotherhood-linked mosque to participate in an interfaith prayer service. It is now known that the mosque was attended by the Boston bombers, though it condemns the attack. You can thank Governor Patrick by clicking here.

Imam Suhaib Webb of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center said on twitter that Governor Patrick’s office suddenly disinvited him to the service and he did not know why. The Clarion Project has documented the Muslim Brotherhood links of the ISBCC and its parent mosque, the Islamic Society of Boston.

The FBI is not sure, but the British tabloid the Sun seems to be pushing the idea.

More than 1,000 FBI operatives were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.

A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.

“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

Right before the arrest:

Dzhokar Tsarnaev, who has been arrested for the terrorist bombings in Boston, attended the Islamic Society of Boston (ISB) in Cambridge, a mosque with strong Muslim Brotherhood links. The ISB Cultural Center, which is at a separate location, is even run by a group that federal prosecutors said in 2008 “was founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.”

An ISB attendee reports last seeing Tsarnaev there during Ramadan last year. It is unclear if his brother, the other bomber, also attended the mosque. The ISB has links to the Muslim Brotherhood, has had radical leadership and promotes anti-Western themes.

The name of Chechen terrorist Doku Umarov may soon become a household name. In The Third Jihad, former CIA intelligence officer Wayne Simmons warned that the 2004 school massacre in Beslan, Russia by Umarov’s Islamist terrorist group is “a perfect example of exactly what will take place in this country.” That prediction was fulfilled with the bombings in Boston.

The Boston bombers were 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his 19-year-old brother, Dzhokhar. Three other college-aged individuals were questioned during the manhunt for Dzhokhar. The brothers are originally from Chechnya but left in the early 1990s because of war with Russia. They and their family moved to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Dagestan before moving to the U.S.

Authorities no longer consider a 20-year Saudi to be a “person of interest” in the Boston bombings investigation. Al-Qaeda-type terrorists are still the suspected culprits based on the features of the attack, the design of the explosives and previous instructions from Al-Qaeda propagandists.

It is now confirmed that the explosives were made with pressure cookers. Fox Newsreports that “the style of the device used closely resembles that commonly seen in Afghanistan and Pakistan. “

In 2010, Al-Qaeda’s branch in Yemen, called Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, published an English-language online magazine recommended using pressure cookers as “the most effective method” of creating explosives. It said to fill it with gunpowder and shrapnel,as the bombs in Boston were.

In a possibly related story, an envelope mailed to U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS), has tested positively for ricin three times.

Milwaukee Magazine reports that Islam is “easily the fastest-growing religious group” in the city. The Muslim population has grown from about 3,000 in 2000 to over 9,000 today. The article profiled the Islamic Society of Milwaukee but missed an important fact: It is led by a Hamas supporter.

The Executive Director of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee is Othman Atta. He opposes the labeling of Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist groups. He legitimizes violence against Israelis, saying “it’s within the right of an occupied people to resist their occupiers” but makes a generic condemnation of attacks on “innocent civilians.”

In November, he spoke at the American Muslims for Palestine conference that featured at least 13 Islamist speakers. In 2001, an FBI memo documented that some members of the mosque were fundraising for the Holy Land Foundation, a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity that was later shut down for financing Hamas.

Pastor Joel C. Hunter of Florida’s Northland Church is under fire for his stance against the state’s proposed legislation based on American Laws for American Courts. He chose a peculiar individual to help make his case: Atif Fareed, former chairman of the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Florida.

The influence of Pastor Hunter is not to be dismissed. His church’s congregation numbers around 15,000 and he sits on the boards of the National Association of Evangelicals and the World Evangelical Alliance. He has served on President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and remains a “spiritual advisor” to him.
