Generally, critics of CAIR link the organization to Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood. But now it appears that one former senior official of the group was in bed with members of Al-Qaeda, but it is unclear if he knew of their membership in the organization. According to CAIR’s tax returns, Muslims are leaving the organization in droves. The number of paying members has dropped by 90% since 2001, from over 29,000 to less than 1,700 in 2006.
