Iran Moves to Recount, Moussavi Disagrees
Things are rapidly changing in Iran as the theocratic government has signaled that it is open to at least a partial recount. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s main rival, Mir Moussavi, has already stated that these partial recounts are unacceptable.
This decision by the Guardian Council could further complicate matters. One, it might be an attempt to stall Moussavi supporters. Secondly, it could be a sign that the Iranian regime is starting to lose his grip. Most likely, it is the former.
A Moussavi rally is expected for 9:00 AM, EST, which would follow a pro-Ahmadinejad rally at 8:00 AM EST.
