Massive Rally Expected in Tehran To Mourn Deaths

It looks like the Iranian people are responding to Mousavi’s call for today to be a public demonstration of mourning for those killed by the regime since the uprising began. Observers are predicted that up to one million people may gather in and around Tehran. Crowds are gathering in the southern part of the capital as well, which is significant since that’s where it was claimed that Ahmadinejad had a base of support.

Here’s some news I’ve received from what I consider to be reliable Iranian sources:

  • The regime’s undercover agents reportedly clashed with students at Tehran University and killed four females using axes. A man was also reportedly thrown from a bridge and instantly killed in Ahvas yesterday.
  • The regime is raiding and destroying dorms throughout Kermanshah University and entering private homes. In response to the escalation, the protestors set an Ansar Hezbollah base  on fire last night.
  • Protests are forming outside of the U.N. offices in Tehran demanding support for a new, free election.
  • The regime is burying some of the bodies of those killed in secret, without families present.
  • Gunfire is being heard outside Islamshahr, and “turmoil” is being reported in Babol.

I’ve also been emailed a photo of security agents dressed as civilians but armed with guns. The regime is planning on using undercover agents to infiltrate the crowds.
