World Threats

Tabriz – 1000. In Abresan Street the people are surrounded by security forces but they are still chanting “People why don’t you rise? Iran has turned into Palestine” and “long live Tabriz”.

Tehran – 1000. The streets of Tehran are filled with protesters. They have entered the Ferdosi Cinema. Crowds in Palestine Square are chanting “death to oppressors whether in Ashraf or Tehran” and “you are the scum and mote and the enemy of this land”. In Haft-e-Tir Square, the people are chanting “you have killed the youth of our country, Allah O Akbar.Death to you. Death to you”. Another crowd is chanting “death to the dictator”. They clap their hands and hit the ground with their feet and chant “the political prisoners must be freed” and “Mahmoud the liar the liar”. In the area between Karimkhan Zand street and Hafte-e-Tir Square, the people are chanting “neither Gaza nor Lebanon I give my life for Iran”.

Qom -1030. A large number of people are clashing with the security forces in the Zanbil Abad area of Qom. The security forces are using tear gas against the people. Shots were fired but it is not known if these shots were fired into the people or into the air.

Tehran – 1110. In the Karimkhan Zand people are chanting “political prisoners must be freed, death to the dictator” and “people why are you sitting? Iran has turned into Palestine.” In Valisar Street a large group is chanting “Allah O Akbar, death to the dictator and political prisoners must be freed”. In Palestine street, the people are chanting ” victory is close and God will help us” and “death to the deceitful government”.

Tehran – 1115. The security forces have blocked off roads leading to Keshavarz Boulevard. They were attacked by people while chanting slogans. The security forces fired tear gas at the people.

Isfahan – 1115. In Engelab Square, about 4000 people have gathered and are chanting anti-regime slogans. The security forces are using pepper spray to try and disperse the crowd. The security forces are clashing with students outside Isfahan’s Industrial University. The regime has deployed an additional ten cars from Shahr-e-Kurd to suppress protesters in Isfahan.

Tehran -1230. People are chanting “death to the dictator” in Keshavarz Boulevard and Palestine Street while Ahmadinejad is speaking during Friday Prayers. In Valisar Street, protesters are marching and stamping their feet in unison. The crowd is large enough that they have overwhelmed the security forces. Iranian state TV is only covering Qods Day marches in towns other than Tehran.

From Hafte-Tir Square to Kargar and Engelab Streets, huge crowd are chanting “Death to Russia, no to Gaza and Lebanon, I will sacrifice my life for Iran, death to the dictator, and Allah O Akbar” while marching towards Engelab Square. Anyone attempting to film the scene is being arrested or their camera or cell phone is being confiscated. Our sources in Iran estimate that millions of people are gathering from Haft-e-Tir to Vali-e-Asr and from Vanak to Vali-e-Asr chanting “neither Gaza nor Lebanon my life is for Iran”. The event is being filmed by the Intelligence services but not by State TV. Security forces have brought in loudspeaker trucks and are attempting to drown out the protesters by broadcasting “death to Israel”.
