Another Khamenei Update
Michael Ledeen has more incredible information here. He observes that the fact that Khamenei has not shown himself after the Jundullah bombing strongly indicates something is up and I completely agree. I think it’s safe to say that he is now at least unable to speak or show himself.
Ledeen writes that Khamenei began feeling sick on October 6, and cut his trip to Ramsar early to be treated at his home in Tehran. His “collapse” happened on October 12, whereupon he went to a clinic, and foreign doctors, two Swiss and two “orientals,” arrived on October 14, who kept giving him oxygen. On October 15, he was visited by Hassan Nasrallah and was seen crying when he left the room. This part of Ledeen’s story is confirmed by the head of the Guardian Council who referred to a conversation he had with Nasrallah, even though his visit was not publicly disclosed.
Ledeen also reports that Rafsanjani was refused permission to see Khamenei by his son. I obviously cannot confirm Ledeen’s story, but the specific details and the signs we’ve discussed here gives it credibility.
