Iraq Blames Syria for Latest Bombings

The Iraqi Foreign Minister has told the BBC that the Iraqis have “strong and tangible evidence” that Syria is to blame for last week’s bombing the Justice Ministry and Governate Building in Baghdad, specifically by providing the perpetrators with safe harbor.

The Al-Maliki government needs to release some of this evidence publicly, and soon. The opposition, primarily the Sadrists and SCIRI, are really hitting al-Maliki hard for the security lapses, and if they keep blaming Syria without providing proof, it’ll be seen as a political move to shift blame.
