Iraq Accuses Syrian Intelligence, Saudi Arabia

Posted by Ryan Mauro On November - 12 - 2009

Iraq is again requesting that the U.N. to investigate and prosecute individuals in the neighboring countries supporting violence. Muwafaq al-Rubaei, the former National Security Advisor, says that there is evidence that Syrian intelligence officers are providing logistical support to Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Al-Rubaei, in a first since the Iraq-Syria crisis that began in August, is now including Saudi Arabia in the list of transgressors, accusing them of funding Al-Qaeda as well as fatwas to justify their actions.
