This is to be expected. The U.S. is shifting to a strategic defensive posture. The war is now coming to us. We can expect this trend to accelerate as the U.S. withdraws from Iraq and Afghanistan. Yes, I fully expect President Obama to stick to his political deadline of withdrawal from Afghanistan.
