The Offensive in Marjah Will Be Won in Pakistan

Click here for my latest FrontPage Magazine piece. This is about the U.S./Afghan offensive in Marjah in Helmand Province. The fighting is tougher than expected and is only a warm-up for the much bigger battle coming in Kandahar. There’s going to be a significant loss of life, unfortunately, and as those headlines baring the casualty numbers come in, we need to aim that anger in the right direction: The Taliban and Pakistan. The surge in Afghanistan can significantly improve the situation there, but the war will never be won until those safe havens in Pakistan are finally taken care of.
