Iran Update, 10 May 10 Part 2

Posted by Richard Radcliffe On May - 10 - 2010

These from our friends in Iran. Rule by death.

Tehran, May 9, 2010. The clerical dictatorship hanged five political prisoners in the morning of May 9 in Evin Prison. This group hanging was announced by ILNA regime’s official news agency as: “five anti-revolution elements were hanged by the gallows of punishment this morning, Sunday, in Evin Prison”. These five political prisoners were: Farzad Kamangar (a teacher activist) son of Baghi, Ali Haidarian son of Ahad, Farhad Vakili son of Mohammad Saeed, Shirin Alam Hooli (fe, Kurd) son of Khadar and Mehdi Salamian son of Mohammad.

Shades of the Hitler Youth.

Tehran, May 8, 2010. The RGC is training pupils in several camps making them ready for combat (it is to be mentioned that during Iran-Iraq war the clerical regime used pupils for cleaning mine fields for its offensives. It wrapped the in blankets a mullah gave them the key to heaven and then they were sent over the mine fields to clean it for Pasdars to start the assault). What is new in this course of trainings which is permitted in the System of Islamic Republic ruling Iran is that the task of training has been given to RGC. Al-Aarabieh TV too pointed to the upper news.

Tehran, May 8, 2010
The clerical regime has equipped traffic police with batons, teargas and in some cases guns. The act is obviously the result of regime’s fear from anti-government protests.

Fahrenheit 45Iran

Tehran, May 8, 2010. By the report of ISC the book exhibition in Tehran’s Mosala started while a great number of SSF and Plainclothes carrying walki-talkies were present. The suppressive forces patrolled the premises with motorcycles or on foot and the Plainclothes’ walki- talkies could be heard by anybody. Some organized Bassijies were present too patrolling amongst people from morning till night. Vehicles and buses belonging to SSF and Especial Forces were parked at the west wing of the exhibition near the metro station. A large tent with the capacity of 1000 forces was put up near the metro station and the forces were stationed inside prepared for confronting any potential protest gathering.

Tehran, May 7, 2010. State-run site, Asr-e-Iran wrote: “On the first day of 23rd book exhibition in Tehran all books written by Ayatollah Montazeri and Ayatollah Sane-ee were collected away from their boots and other boots”.

From the ridiculous to the stupid.

Tehran, May 8, 2010. In a directive the misogynous clerical dictatorship has ordered both public and private banks not to offer bank services to women who do not wear Chador. It is said the plan of having compulsory veil is going to start from the banks. The reason that banks have been chosen as the starting point is that women and girls with good financial backup are those who are usually ignoring the veil. They are financially independent and refer to banks more. At the next step these directives will be posted at bank booths.

Religious freedom continues to contract in Iran.
