Iran Update, 14 May 10 Part 1
These from our friends in Iran. Political problems in the regime.
Tehran, May 11, 2010. Mullah Safaee the head of Political-Ideological Office of Khamenei in regime’s armed forces warned that the target of those who participate in the uprising is Khamenei and his ominous regime.
Quoted by ILNA state-run news agency he said: “Supreme Leadership is the pillar of the Moslem’s society and the enemy intends to strike on it by starting a soft-war”.
Calling the Uprising ‘soft-war’ this element of Khameni added: “soft-war is much harder (to confront) because you don’t see the enemy’s possibilities and equipments…enemy’s planning in regard with the soft-war has increased with starting the sedition after the presidential election”.Tehran, May 12, 2010. Nasrollah Kuhi Bagh Anari regime’s MP called Mosave ‘against Islam’ and ‘against Koran’ because he protested the execution of political prisoners on May 9 and said that ‘Iran is not his place anymore’. In an interview with Iran Network he added: “unfortunately while Judiciary must put Mosavi on trial because of the sedition provoked by him it retreats and thus Mosavi is taking advantage of Islamic kindness”. Kuhi said: “though Mr. Mosavi has said recently that he is still with us but ‘he is diverging from Islam and as the sources of religious laws put it he is against Koran and he is counted as an apostate”.
Tehran, May 11, 2010. Following the schism at the top of the regime Rafsanjani once more taunted Khamenei and admitted that suppressing people is not useful. Rafsanjani said: “states in the modern world try to make public opinion content; the era of suppression and oppression is over”. Rafsanjani confronted Khamenei directly by counting regime’s constitution the pivot of regime’s movement instead of Khamenei. Rafsanjani’s words in confrontation with Khamenei confirm that the talisman of Supreme Leadership is broken and on the other hand it shows the deepening of the schism at the top of clerical regime. The incurable situation of the System of Supreme Leadership has no other cure than being toppled.
Tehran, May 11, 2010. Regime’s MP Sirous Sazdar a member of Energy Commission warned Khamenei’s fraction in his speech on May 11 in the parliament to open room for the defeated fraction and said: “as a soldier of revolution and the system of Islamic republic who has sacrificed the best years of his life for revolution I warn not to ruin the last opportunity for rebuilding people’s trust. We should not close the hands of the friends of the system and the true companions of Imam and revolution. If we do so we will open the hand of those who don’t have the slightest obligation towards revolution and they will try to destroy the System and the country”.
The MP added: “today we are standing at the most critical point for Islamic Republic during the last 30 years”.
He pointed to the increase of poverty, addiction and corruption in the corrupted clerical regime and said: “who is responsible for the poverty stricken people, for the cancer-like spread of addiction, for decrease in society’s morel and for mistrust in the society”.
