Tensions Rise in Korea, North Says It’s Ready for War

The news from the korean peninsula seems to be getting worse as North Korea not only blamed the South for “faking” evidence of the sinking of the Cheonan, but also threatened war over the issue. North Korea was belligerent:
“If the (South Korean) enemies try to deal any retaliation or punishment, or if they try sanctions or a strike on us …. we will answer to this with all-out war,” Col. Pak In Ho of North Korea’s navy told broadcaster APTN in an exclusive interview in Pyongyang.
Yikes. But the North also said that their army was not intended to attack others “first” which might be a sign that they are backing down. Hopefully.
