Another pick-me-up from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad continues his streak of combative remarks by stating that the Jewish state is doomed. This also comes after Iran announced that it may reduce cooperation with UN nuclear inspectors. Ahmadinejad also singled out American influence in the UN:

“We have always said the Security Council is a tool in the hands of the United States. It is not democratic, it is a tool of dictatorship,” he said.

“Five powers have the veto right and the nuclear bombs and the monopoly and they want to monopolise nuclear energy for themselves,” he added.
