The Muslim Brotherhood’s Shiite Branch

Posted by Ryan Mauro On July - 18 - 2010

Mark Hass, the Director of EducateUSA.com, has sent me an email with a document obtained by the Investigative Project on Terrorism about the Muslim Students’ Association’s Persian Speaking Group, which has ties to the Iranian regime. This is important because CAIR has begun receiving money from Iran, and despite the ferociously anti-Shiite line of Sheikh al-Qaradawi and other Brotherhood leaders, there are ties with Shiite extremists in the West.

The document is from the FBI and it talks about how the Islamic Society of North America’s 23rd and 24th Annual Conferences “provided opportunities for the extreme fundamentalist Muslims to meet with their supporters,” which included radical black Muslims and Iranians from the Persian Speaking Group. The PSG handed out material with quotes from Ayatollah Khomeini and talking about the Islamic Revolution.

The FBI document also contains this line:

“The annual conferences are used for both religious and political purposes. The political purpose is to further the Islamic Revolution, which includes the providing of anti-U.S. and Israel publications, and publications that support the war effort of Iran in the Iran-Iraq war and the Persian Gulf.”

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
