These from our friends in Iran. The Iranian economy continues to spiral downward.

Karaj, July 18, 2010. The issue of cut in subsidy which is going to be executed since the second half of Iranian year is having its effect in rise of the price of goods from now. During last few days the price of sheep’s meet which has been 12000 tomans per kilo last Wednesday reached to 14900 tomans on Saturday. Lamb’s meat’s price was raised from 6000 tomans per kilo to 7900 at the same interval.

Tehran, July 18, 2010. In protest to shortage of fuel and its high price people booed the SSF present at gas station in Mosadegh Street and clashed with them. Recently due to the discontent of people who stand in long queues for gasoline and their complaint of shortage of fuel and its high price SSF is stationed at main and crowded gas stations.
The picture shows cars awaiting gasoline at Olympic Gas Station at region 22 west of Tehran. It is about a month the gas station is witnessing such lines.

Tabriz, July 18, 2010. Long queues for receiving gasoline in Tabriz’s gas stations are seen. Each car has to stay at least 20 to 30 minutes in line to receive gasoline.

July 18, 2010. Townships of Saravan and Iranshahr are also witnessing long queues for receiving gasoline.

Tehran, July 17, 2010. Following the resolutions of sanctions targeting IRGC, this force had to withdraw from the contract for South Pars natural gas field. In its website Khatamal Anbia Base announced that it with pull out of this field which is now on its 15 and 16 stage of broadening of the gas field. This plan has at least 28 stages. It is said that this field is the largest field of natural gas in the world.

Tehran, July 18, 2010. On the eve of the session for formulating EU sanctions against regime by foreign ministers of European countries Germany is taking steps for stopping some banking operations with the regime. One of such steps is that the branch of Sepah Bank in Frankfurt is only allowed to operate in the course of its closure.

Tehran, July 17, 2010. IRGC’s news agency, Fars, wrote: “simultaneously with terrorist explosions in Zahedan in Iran US federal court of revision complied with the demand of small group of Monafeghin (the name regime calls PMOI) for getting out of the black list”. The agency also mourned on the fact that PMOI’s name was taken off the list of terrorist organization in Europe before and wrote: “in its dishonest policy towards terrorism EU took out the name of Monafeghin out off the list of terrorist organizations in 2009”.

Sistan & Baloochestan, July 18, 2010. After explosions in Zahedan, Abasali Noora another regime’s MP resigned. Noora is MP from Zabol. He said: “one of the reasons that I and Mr. Shahriari resigned is that we had warned about this event from long before”. This regime’s MP said: “the culture of this region is the culture of revenge. After Rigi was hanged we had warned the authorities…that this group (Jondollah) will avenge”.

Zahedan, July 18, 2010. Radan the deputy of SSF conceded to clashes of Zahedan’s residents with suppressive SSF.
Radan who was in Zahedan announced: “SSF has arrested 40 who wanted to provoke unrest in Zahedan”.
Radan started threatening and said: “Islamic Republic has the right to confront those hooligans that cause unrest and then run away to the other side of the border”.

Tehran, July 18, 2010. Jafari the General Commander of IRGC said that the goal of the session of the heads of IRGC was to brief them about the Establishment’s current situation and announcing how IRGC was organized for the threats. He said: “IRGC’s mission must be proportional to daily threats and at each time it must be kept up to date. Jafari said that “preservation of the Establishment” depends on IRGC and called upon his forces to obey KHamenei’s commands.
