Gasoline Shortage in Iran Threatens Regime

Click here for my latest PJM article. Iran was already facing a gasoline shortage, having to import 40 percent of its needs from foreign countries. Now, with rising domestic consumption, a declining economy due to an incompetent government, and sanctions that are causing Western investors to quickly pull out, the shortage has gotten much worse. This is causing important oil and natural gas projects to stall and citizens are facing long lines at gas stations that are sometimes causing clashes with the security forces.
