These from our friends in Iran. Iran’s oil production decreases. Not good for buying off the people.
Sept. 15, 2010. International sanctions which have targeted Iran’s oil and gas industry has caused serious problems for Iran’s oil production. Some of these problems are the abstinence of large companies from investing in Iran’s oil production and oil field exploitation and giving Iran the necessary know how in this regard. There is also the problem of oil transportation by ship companies, and insurance and money transfer by foreign banks. Simultaneous with the decrease of oil produce by the regime Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr, Iran’s deputy Oil Minister claimed that “we will set conditions to sell our oil and those who want to buy are not exclusive”. This claim comes while the regime is facing serious problems in selling oil and is forced to store millions of liters of oil in its giant oil tankers in the Persian Gulf. They are even forced to pay for insurance but clients have no tendency to buy its oil.
Sept. 15, 2010. The HD Unit of the Imam Port Petrochemical Company exploded. According to the Fars News Agency from Mahshahr, a fire has started in this unit. There is still no news on the details or scope of this incident.
Their foreign policy apparatus isn’t doing well either.
Sept. 15, 2010. In a fiasco which the regime called the Africa Conference, Ahmadinejad said in speech, “Iran and Africa want a new order in the world to take the place of the current world order which has been created by the slave masters”. The state-run Mehr News Agency which covered this conference said that prominent African personalities participated in this conference. Ahmadinejad repeated his ridiculous claims and said, “Our mutual feeling is that the world needs a new management system”.
Sept. 15, 2010. A state-run website in Iran admitted on Sunday that the world considers the religious dictatorship ruling Iran as a “barbaric” system, and wrote, “Westerners consider us to be barbaric human beings. … Under the influence of the enemy’s intense propaganda, the contemporary world sees us as violent beings whose criminal behavior cannot be tamed, and making matters worse, they say that we are pursuing nuclear weapons.”
The state-run Jahan News also referred to the widespread hatred in the world against the clerical regime for its extensive human rights abuses and death sentences such as stoning, and added, “If we continue to remain silent in this regard, we would not even be able to defend our families in the future. The enemy’s next step will be to neutralize our instruments for controlling society. They want us to fear fiascoes they create over human rights and their media campaigns and thus make us lose our ability to punish and control our own society.”
The article also voices fear over the effects of satellites and the Internet in Iran, saying, “A significant portion of society is influenced by satellite, the Internet and other western cultural products, rendering them unable to live a religious life.”
Sept. 14, 2010. Farzad Farhangian, the resigned diplomat of regime in Belgium in a press conference clearly said he demand overthrow of Iranian regime. France news agency reported: Farzad Farhangian said that he is expecting more people to separate from the regime of Iran. He supported a tough struggle against the present regime of Iran. When he was asked why this uprising should be aggressive, he replied: “yes according to recent incidents, I demand overthrow of this regime. Mentioning that he belonged to press department of the Embassy in Brussels which yesterday his resignation was announced.
Sept. 14, 2010. Second rank of regime’s embassy, said in Finland: we want to show how much resistance is against the Islamic Republic. Ahmadinejad is not the representative and spokesman of Iran. Do not take him serious, he does not have any support among Iranians. If he had support, he didn’t need to change the election results. Hossein Alizadeh added: I am against the regime, and I request political asylum from Finland Government. I have had warm messages that show Finish Government will provide security for me and my family.
Internal dissent grows in the organs of state power.
Sept. 15, 2010. Ali Mohammad Dastgheib, a member of the Assembly of Experts from Shiraz, refused to participate in a session of this assembly as a sign of protest.
Sept. 15, 2010. The Assembly of Experts which started today will last for two days. Before this session of the Assembly of Experts which is tasked with monitoring the actions of the leader of the Islamic Republic, a member of this body which is made up entirely of clerics made remarks against Khamenei.
Ali-Mohammad Dastgheib from the city of Shiraz asked that this assembly in an open letter see to a number of issues in its session including the ‘actions of the leadership’. The pro-Khamenei faction of the regime has become hotheaded over the tabling of this issue and immediately after this letter was published, pro-Khamenei forces under the name of ‘Shiraz student organizations’ issued a statement demanding that Dastgheib be tried in the Special Clerical Court. A number of pro-Khamenei members of the Assembly of Experts also demanded that he be expelled from the assembly.
Another issue of concern in the session was that of international sanctions against the regime. Salami, another cleric in this assembly said that ‘the unilateral US and European sanctions against Iran will definitely have consequences… officials have to be aware of this issue… and neutralize these sanctions with their plans’.
Religious freedom in Iran … NOT!
Sep. 14, 2010. Jailed Christian couple Fatemeh Pasandideh and her husband Yusef Nordkhani have been banned from seeing each other in prison since two weeks ago and have been threatened by security forces to life in prison and execution if they do not turn back to Islam. Converted Christian Fatemeh Pasandideh said in a short phone call with one of her relations that she and her jailed husband were being put under increased pressure in the past two weeks. On Saturday September 11, she made a call from Rasht Prison and said that she was barred from seeing her husband in the past two weeks and that she was under pressure to turn back to Islam by her interrogators. she said she was threatened that if she does not become a Muslim, she would be sentenced to life in prison according to Islamic laws.
On the other hand, her husband Yusef has been threatened with execution under similar circumstances if he does not become a Muslim. They are both detained in the Lakan Prison in Rasht. According to unverified reports, Behrouz Sadeq Khanjani another jailed Christian was sentenced to death by two judges in the past few months but the third judge did not vote for his execution.
