Afghanistan Moving Towards India
Afghanistan and India do not share a physical border, but it appears that Afghanistan is moving closer to the South Asian power. This is after the attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul and the Mumbai massacre.
“We have very little in cooperation in security, information exchange and we will increase that,” Spanta told ANI.
This move is significant and bound to irk Islamabad , because till now India with pledge of investing 750 million dollars is involved in major capacity building and infrastructure development projects in Afghanistan.
This comes after speculation over Indian troops being sent to Afghanistan. India also realizes that Islamist victory in Afghanistan would directly affect Pakistan and could affect India itself. These moves come as NATO is attempting to shore up Afghanistan.
