Top Iraqi Missile Expert in Iran
On November - 16 - 2003
The Associated Press has a very intriguing article saying that the head of the Iraqi long-range ballistic missile program, Dr. Modher Sadeq-Saba al-Tamimi, has fled to Iran. Other weapons experts are in Syria and Jordan.
One could argue this is evidence that the belief that the Iraqi government was scared of Iran, and therefore would never cooperate with them, is false. On the other hand, the report says al-Tamimi left at least two months after the war began. He needed a job and Iran would probably pay well for his expertise.
