Libyans Aren’t the Only People Being Murdered by Their Government
These from our friends in Iran.
Tehran- Feb.21, 2011. Reports from different areas of Tehran show that after 12 midnight people and youths were present in the central regions of Tehran. The protesters acted in groups of a few hundred strong and chanted slogans against Khamenei. As the suppressive forces were deployed to their locations they dispersed and another group of youths started chanting slogans in another place. The location of these hit and run clashes were Enghlab up to Vali-e-Asr Intersection and Vali-t-Asr Square, Enghlab Sq. towards Azadi, Haft-e-Tir Sq and streets around it, Vanak Sq and some other regions.

Isfahan- Feb.20, 2011. You cannot believe what was going on in Isfahan. I can decisively say that the crowd was two or three times the crowd on Feb. 14. The suppressive forces beat us like savages. A Bassiji came to the sidewalk amongst the people and grabbed a boy. But the boy didn’t stay still and swore at Khamenei all the time. The Bassiji couldn’t hold him. He put his hand in front of the boy’s mouth and beat him. We tried to save him but we were late and they took him away. Another Bassiji taped the women present to identify them later. First the march was held in silence but then the suppressive forces started to bother a girl and this burst the wrath of people. Students were present everywhere and they were so brave. I taped lots of the scenes but when I gave my cell phone to my friend to tape scenes from other places the suppressive forces saw it and took it from him. It is unbelievable but today you could see how much the suppressive forces were frightened in their faces.
Shiraz- Feb.21, 2011. During Feb. 20th uprising in Shiraz, a student of Shiraz University, Hamed Noor Mohammadi, was killed by regime’s security agents. He was killed by regime’s security agents and Bassijies while he was running away in Namazi Square in front of Building No. 1 of the Department of Engineering. Some other active students are banned from entering the university and the dormitory. In some cases their families were called and threatened. On the night of Feb. 20 at 10 pm the cry of ‘Allah O Akbar’ and ‘death to dictator’ was heard for 15 minutes from Mofateh Dormitory at Shiraz University.
Mahabad- Feb.21, 2011. On Feb. 20 Uprising in Mahabad when people intended to start their march the regime’s suppressive forces blocked them, consequently people clashed with suppressive forces. According to reports, as a result of the fired gun shots, one of the protesters was killed and a number of other people were wounded. A protester on the scene said that the wounds of the shot protester were so severe that the person died after a few minutes in Hafte Tir Square. This is while the BBC quoted another eyewitness as saying that the sounds of gun shots were heard from around the Abbas Abad Street in Tehran.

Some reports say that security forces and riot police opened fire on protesters and killed one person. An elderly woman was also killed after being hit on the head with a baton by Bassij and Revolutionary Guards Forces on motorcycles.
By the order of Khamenei to confront the anti-regime protesters, headquarter called ‘Confrontation Headquarter’ is established in the regime’s Headquarter of Armed Forces. The suppressive forces stationed throughout the city by this headquarter on Feb. 14 were as such:
Vali-e-Amr Corps was appointed to Pastor Street and its intersections as well as the streets leading to it to protect Khamenei’s home and Ahmadinejad’s presidential building. 46,000 members of IRGC in form of 164 battalions from 23 regions of Bassij and from (anti) Mohammad Rasolollah Corps were stationed in different regions of Tehran. (anti) Seyyed Al-Shohada Corps of IRGC was appointed to control Azadi Square and the regions around it. 3000 personnel of Motorbike Strike Forces and 1000 from On Foot Strike Forces from (anti) Saralah Corps of IRGC were patrolling the streets. 1500 Hezbollah mercenaries from Lebanon were added to the operational forces in Tehran to control situation from Imam Hussein till Azadi Squares. Bassijies of Meghdad and Abuzar regions; Students, Guilds and bureaus Bassij forces in plainclothes were patrolling different regions round the clock. Air Force, helicopters and all police stations were on full state of alert.
IRGC had deployed 55 water canons with the capacity of 20,000 liters having jet motors and 150 more water canons belonging to fire squads were also borrowed to be used in case needed.
30 water canons were used for spraying burner material. 800 new surveillance cameras with the 360 degree of rotation ability in different points of Tehran were installed. Each Bassij base of hundred strong was given shocker, vomiting gas and different kind of bullets including plastic bullets. The plan for emitting parasites on satellites and Internet was implemented. Controlling emails by AFTA (the security of the atmosphere of data exchange) and VAJA (Intelligence Ministry of Islamic Republic) and complete control on phone calls both domestic and to outside the country was restated.
The regime forces were free to open fire in case sensitive centers of the regime were attacked.
But despite all these suppressive measures and equipments, the brave youths of our homeland broke the deep wall of oppression both on Feb. 14 and Feb. 20.
This is how the fire of uprising under the ashes of oppression flamed.
