Fox News Analyst Says Iraqi WMD in Syria and Iran
On December 14, 2003, on “The O’Reilly Factor,” Fox News Foreign Policy analyst Mansoor Ijaz, the individual who was the source behind the story about the Clinton Administration’s refusal of a Sudanese offer to turn over Osama Bin Laden, says that according to his sources, Iraq’s WMDs are in Syria and Iran. He provided no further details but we felt this should be catalogued as one more expert who says his sources confirm the theory. Of course, we must be aware that this could be a case of “circular reporting” with a few sources talking to several reporters and experts about a story, unintentionally (or perhaps intentionally) giving the impression that this is a consensus-view or very widely-accepted view among the “those in the know” crowd.
