Scattered Protests, Clashes in Tehran

Tehran. The atmosphere is very volatile in Valiasr Square and street and Enqelab Street and security forces and riot police are stationed all along the streets and intersections. The crowds are growing and waiting for the demos to start.
Tehran. Around Mostafa Khomeini Hospital close to Palestine Square people have gathered and a great number of people are present.
Tehran. The protesting crowd is chanting ‘death to dictator’ from Enghelab till Ferdosi.
Bushehr. Students gathered in protests to the fact that they are body searched in the university and the fact that their cafeteria was moved to outside of university grounds.
Tehran. Cars that look like bulldozers have been stationed in Enqelab Square. Motorists are getting on the nerves of Special Guards Forces because of they constantly honk their horns.
Tehran. Professors and students of Tehran University’s School of Electronics, Mechanics and Mines have canceled their classes.
Yazd. Students gathered in the cafeteria in the Yazd University to mark March 1 at 9:30 am and took their pr
otests to the university campus. Five minutes after the start of the gathering, 20 university guards attacked the students and seized their cameras. Classes were also not held in the morning in this university.
Tehran. Protesters are moving from Keshavarz Blvd. to Enqelab Square. They chant death to dictator and Allah O Akbar.
Shiraz. About 300-400 protesters have gathered in the Namazi Square in Shiraz and they are chanting death to dictator and ‘we are united’. Security forces immediately arrested 8 young protesters and took them away. There were also clashes at 7:30 pm in Mollasadra Street and protesters are chanting death to dictator.
Tehran. There is a fierce clash between security forces and protesters in Jeihoun Street. Despite the fact that security forces are violently beating protesters, the crowds have gradually grown larger since 6 pm.
Tehran 5:50pm. Security forces on motorcycles charged protesters and hit them with batons. The people moved towards Azadi singing the ‘Yare Dabestani’ song to show their solidarity with the student movement. Security forces once again attacked this gathering and arrested young people in groups in Eskandari Street and took them to a bus.
Tehran. Resalat Square is in the control of the people. Cellphones have been cut off.
Tehran 6:30. There are severe disturbances in communications and the proxies that used to work to go to banned websites are useless.
Tehran 5:45 pm. There are clashes between security forces and protesters in Tohid Square between the Khomeini Hospital and Satarkhan Street.
Tehran 5:30 pm. In Enqelab Square and Jamalzadeh Street outside of Tehran University, Valiasr Square, Imam Hossein Square, Pastor Square and Kargar Street, protesters chanted death to Khamenei. There are currently clashes going on with security forces in all of these regions.
Tehran 5:30. A large number of protesters in Jomhouri Square are clashing with security forces in a hit and run fashion.
Tehran 4:30pm. About 200 people clashed with security forces in Tohid Square.
Tehran. There have been clashes between protesters and security forces near Imam Hossein Square and the sounds of people shouting and crying out can be heard from the outside.
Tabriz. Large crowds were gathered in Abresan Square at about 6 pm and the crowds are growing. Security forces also have a heavy presence and there is heavy traffic in this area.
Tehran. Security forces have attacked protesters with electric batons and administer shocks to people but protesters are standing their ground and chant death to dictator. People are blocked from going from Azadi Street towards Jomhouri Street. Security forces have used tear gas in Azadi Street and there were sporadic clashes. Clashes have started between security forces and protesters in Eskandar Street. Security and Bassij forces maneuver on their motorcycles to intimidate the people but the people only boo them. In Azadi Street a young man hurled a hand grenade at security forces from a building which terrified the security forces and they were forced to disperse.
