Judge Dismisses Savage Suit Against CAIR
On July - 26 - 2008
The AP is reporting that radio talk show host Michael Savage’s law suit against the non-profit organization Council on American-Islamic Relations has been dismissed. Savage’s suit was started after CAIR used clips from his show where he called the Koran a “book of hate” in a campaign to get advertisers to stop supporting his program.
The judge ruled that CAIR was allowed to use excerpts from his program because it was publicly broadcasted, and that Savage could not prove that the campaign had damaged the program.
Part of Savage’s suit claimed that CAIR was tied to Islamic terrorists. Savage’s attorney, David Horowitz, says he will file a new suit against CAIR over their ties to terrorism.
