Ryan Mauro WorldThreats.com was founded with a goal of providing information the general public does not know in an easy-to-read fashion, one that will not overwhelm any reader. Many have expressed their astonishment at the low level of knowledge the average person accumulates before making a strong opinion on world events. This is often done to accommodate their political beliefs (for example, Democrats tend to take the facts that support their anti-Bush views, while Republicans tend to take the facts that support their pro-Bush views). In conversation, we can all remember a time when we told such a strong-minded person a piece of information, which was subsequently dismissed as lies or propaganda, as it goes against the person’s predetermined analysis.

WorldThreats.com publishes insightful analysis into current events that we feel should be read, even if we disagree with some of the individual points in the article.

This website aims to remove those barriers that separate a common consensus on national security matters and lead to difficulty in executing an educated, well-researched response to those matters.

Ryan Mauro

Founder, Chief Analyst

Beginning at age 11 or 12, Mauro began research into the geopolitical affairs of several countries. It quickly turned into more than a hobby. In December 2002, Mauro was hired as a geopolitical analyst by Tactical Defense Concepts (www.tdconcepts.com), a maritime-related security company.  He was believed to be the youngest hired geopolitical analyst at age 16. Several of Mauro’s research reports, criticizing the approaches of both political parties to geopolitical affairs and national security, were forwarded to law enforcement and intelligence agencies with great response.

In June 2003, Mauro’s boss suggested he post articles of interest and promote original analysis.  So WorldThreats.com was launched.  Mauro also helped edit the book, “The Forgotten Minorities of Eastern Europe.”

In the fall of 2003, Mauro joined the Northeast Intelligence Network (www.HomelandSecurityUS.com), which specializes in tracking and assessing terrorist threats.  He is also currently a writer for Canada Free Press .

Mauro was signed to The William Morris Agency in 2004. He was invited on a scholarship to the National Intelligence Conference and Exposition , and gave a speech on Iraq at the 2006 International Intelligence Summit  along with an impromptu speech about “The Rise of Neocommunism in Latin America.” He also spoke on July 10, 2006 at a protest outside the New York Times office building

Mauro is the author of the book “Death to America: The Unreported Battle of Iraq” released in October of 2005 .
