At 18 years old, Wall Township resident Ryan Mauro [left] is
a professional geopolitical analyst, author and web site producer.

Ryan Mauro of Wall wanted to tell a story.

The 18-year old wanted people to know what they probably have not yet heard about Saddam Hussein.

So, Mauro wrote “Death to America: The Unreported Battle of Iraq,” a book in which he analyzes the media’s coverage of Hussein and terrorist activities in Iraq.

“The media was unable to explain to the American people what really was going on in Iraq,” Mauro said. “I have answered most of the questions.”

Mauro, a senior at Wall High School, has signed a contract with Publish America, a publishing company in Federick, Md. He said he expects his book to be released this summer.

“I feel satisfied, and I love seeing results coming into fruition,” he said.

Mauro said the book was compiled with information from various public sources and comments by newspaper reporters from all over the world. During the past 2 1/2 years, Mauro said he has interviewed reporters from newspapers such as The New York Times, Boston Globe and The Guardian.

“Once I gathered the information, I began analyzing it and verifying the facts,” he said. “It was a lengthy process, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Mauro said a large part of the book is dedicated to covering the Iraq war and the roles played by Syria and Iran in waging the war. He said the closing chapters of the book deal with an international system of bribery used by Hussein to turn allies against America.

The book ends with the thought that the war in Iraq is sparking a fire of terrorism in countries all over the world, Mauro said.

Mauro’s reports and comments on terrorism can be viewed at Worldthreats.com on the Web.

Mauro’s career began at the age of 16 with Tactical Defense Concepts in Spring Lake, a maritime-related security group. In 2003, Mauro joined the Northeast Intelligence Network in Erie, Pa., which specializes in tracking and assessing terrorist threats.

Mauro has also written articles that have been published by Newsmax.com and Worldnetdaily.com on the Web. He also has posed as a political commentator on KABC-AM 790, a radio station based in Los Angeles.
